Today, I sent a child to the principal, and I am second guessing myself. He has such a beautiful spirit, but he just would not do his work today. After several warnings, he still sat at his desk with his books closed. I knew his mother, who died of cancer a few years back, and my heart is full for him. Books.
You guys know that I love to read, so I want to let you guys in on a few great books that I’ve read within the past year. I am saving for an Amazon Kindle, so maybe I can save money (and trees) in the long run. Anyway, above are three of my favorites.
Bandwagons I Have Joined as of Late.
1. Being broke. Obviously, I love it. I cannot get enough of poverty.
2. Chili with beans. I used to be a no-beaner. People change.
3. Whistling.
4. Finishing books that I start. I actually have not allowed myself to buy a book for two weeks, so I can finish the three or four that are halfway finished.
5. Listening to music in the car instead of talk radio.

Figures.
Today, I went with BF and his mother to see “Taken.” True to form, my mind has been racing all evening trying to figure out how I can end human trafficking. I have even considered taking a self defense class so that I can defend myself when I go take down brothels.
Just no.
This morning while waiting in line for my food at Hardee’s I saw a man with his sweatshirt tucked into his sweatpants. I have to admit, I admire the ability to reject all rules of fashion and go your own way.

Ok dear ones, here is the recipe for the salad Alice got me hooked on. I literally crave it.
1. Hearts of Romaine lettuce ( I buy the cheap kind that is not chopped and chop it myself. It takes no time and saves you 3 bucks, and when you eat this salad as much as I do, that adds up).

Big Girl
Ok….so we all know that there is an epidemic obesity among our children and teens. I can attest to this. In my class right now, half of the girls are majorly overweight.
